- A written plan for the first two or three weeks at home.
- A walk-through of the household rules, so everyone agrees.

Good questions
Before you begin.
How many handoff lessons are enough?
One to three is common. More complex goals may need more.
Should the whole family attend?
If possible, yes. Dogs do best when everyone gives the same cues.
Can handoff happen at my home?
Some trainers offer it. A home visit lets the trainer see the real setup.
What if I skip it?
Without the handoff, the dog may follow the trainer's cues but not yours. Most of the value shows up when you can reproduce the routine.
